About Us

Christ Cathedral is a contemporary Christian church that is part of the Gereja Bethel Indonesia (GBI) denomination.

We are passionate about connecting people with God to live according to their God-given purposes. Driven by the Great Commission and Great Commandment, we reach out to today’s generation through inspirational worship, loving community, and relevant messages.

Our church was founded in 2008 and currently has an average weekly attendance of 10,000 people.

Our Beliefs

As part of the Gereja Bethel Indonesia denomination, we believe in the Christian Faith Creed of Gereja Bethel Indonesia as follows:

We believe…

The Holy Bible, the Old Testament and the New Testament, are God’s Words inspired by the Holy Spirit.
The one and only God that is a God of Trinity, which are the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, three persons in one.
Jesus Christ is the Lord’s only begotten Son, born of the virgin Mary under the aegis of the Holy Spirit.
That Jesus died crucified, buried, and resurrected on the third day amongst the dead. That He ascended to Heaven and sit at the right hand of the Father, Saviour and our Mediator.
All men have sinned and lost their divine Glory, hence repentance is an absolute necessity and all must turn towards the Lord to receive forgiveness from their sins.
Condonation and to be born again are done by faith in the Blood of Jesus Christ which are done by the Holy Spirit.
Everyone that repents must be baptized — by full immersion — in the name of The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus.
Sanctification is the fruit of being born again for believing in the Blood of Jesus Christ, which are done by the Power of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit.
Holiness is the foundation and principle of the life of Christianity.
The Holy Spirit Baptism is a blessing for everyone that has their heart sanctified.
The sign of Holy Spirit Baptism is to speak in tongues as it is inspired by the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Communion is done each time to strengthen the fellowship with God and with one another.
Divine Healing is provided in the atonement of Jesus for everyone that believes.
Jesus Christ will return to resurrect all of His people that were dead and ascend all of His people that are alive, then altogether face Him in the heavens. Thereafter He will build a Kingdom of a thousand years on this earth.
In the end, everyone that are dead will be resurrected. The righteous will rise on the first resurrection and receive eternal life, but the wicked will rise on the second resurrection and receive eternal punishment.

Our Leaders

Christ Cathedral is led by a team of pastors who oversee every ministry department of the church.

Lead Pastors

Professor Riza Casidy & Ps. Stephanie Casidy

Professor Riza Casidy and Ps. Stephanie Casidy serve as the volunteer Lead Pastors of Christ Cathedral.

Professor Riza earned a Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University, Australia; a Master of Theology from Whitley College, University of Divinity, Australia; and an Honours degree and PhD in Business from Monash University, Australia. He is Professor of Business at Monash University through a joint appointment with Monash University Indonesia and Monash Business School, Australia.

Ps. Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Business (Law), Juris Doctor, and Master of Laws in Human Rights from Monash University, Australia, as well as a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Trinity Theological Seminary, USA. She is currently a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Law at Monash University.

Associate Lead Pastors

Dr. Andry & Cindy Montolalu

Dr. Andry & Cindy Montolalu are the Associate Lead Pastors of Christ Cathedral. They are also involved as Christ Cathedral’s Pastoral Care Directors.

Dr. Andry & Cindy both earned a doctorate degree in Christian Education from STT KADESI, Jogjakarta, in 2016.
